HELEN EVELYN VAN BRABANT (nee ALDERSON) March 11, 1924 - October 13, 2009 It is with heartfelt sorrow, that we announce the passing of Helen Van Brabant, affectionately known as Auntie Honey. She leaves to mourn her son Barry Van Brabant (Bev), the Alderson Family, Ruth, Lindy, Lori Nelson, Terry (Roxy), Kenny and Kyla, the McCrae King family, Jennifer (Jason), Meguire, Piper-Prairie and Poet, as well as many friends. A very special thanks to Lori Nelson for all her help, kindness and support. As per Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The Moment that you died, Our hearts split in two, The one side filled with memories, The other died with you. We often lay awake at night, When the world is fast asleep, And take a walk down memory lane, With tears upon our cheeks. Remembering you is easy, We do it every day, But missing you is a heartache, That never goes away.
