LUCILLE ANNETTE STOPPEL Lucille Annette Stoppel passed away at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Lucille was born September 24, 1919 in Touts Aides, Manitoba to Lionel and Marcella Adam, one of six children. Lucille will be especially remembered for her love of story telling, music, singing, dance and the love she had for her family and friends. She retained an active interest in current affairs and politics throughout her life. Her love of life and tenaciousness allowed those of us who loved and cared for her to have her with us for a few bonus years while she fought her many medical challenges. Her children Dennis, Gale, Sharon, Douglas, her daughters-in-law, Evelyn and Elizabeth , her son-in-law Doug, her grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, her extended family and many friends will miss her greatly. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Christian John Stoppel, her parents and her siblings. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to The Concordia Foundation, 1095 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2K 3S8.
