CLIFFORD BOYKO On January 19, 2010 with his family by his side and after a lengthy struggle with health, it is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful man, husband, father, brother and Gigi. He will be always in our hearts and sadly missed by his wife of 46 years Mary, sons Darin (Pamela), Ronald (Beata) and daughter Sandra (Mike) and his four grandchildren Alayna, Christopher, Mark and Collin. He leaves to mourn three sisters Zinnia, Betty and Lynn and one brother Adam. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Jean Boyko, sister Violet and grandson Alex. Clifford was born April 24, 1937 in Brokenhead, Manitoba where he attended school. Always a provider for his family Clifford worked at various jobs throughout Canada. He worked in the construction industries in his early years and later retiring after 25 years from CPR. A true family man Clifford would load up his family every year for a family holiday travelling throughout Canada, United States and Mexico. One has never travelled unless you have travelled with Clifford! Some of his favourite spots were Phoenix, Mazatlan and Ontario. One of his fondest memories is driving to the top of Pike's Peak. A true outdoorsman Clifford enjoyed fishing and hunting. Many a shore lunch was shared with family and friends. In his later years, fishing was enjoyed with his grandchildren teaching them how to catch the big one . Clifford's biggest enjoyment was spending time at the cabin. Whether it was fishing or hunting, riding ATV's or just cutting grass he always had a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. Winter months were kept very busy with snowmobiling with his sons. After his retirement Clifford could be found at the local mall sharing coffee and stories with friends. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Gilbarts Funeral Chapel on Eveline St. in Selkirk, Manitoba. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. also at the chapel with interment to follow in the East Selkirk Cemetery. Rev. Fr. B. Lukie C.Ss. R. officiating.
