KATHERINE KLOS (nee ANDRYCHUK) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Katherine (Kay) on February 24, 2010 at the Victoria Hospital with family at her side. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Marilyn (Dwight), Marvin (Terri) and Bev (Ken); grandchildren, Lynn (Blair), Laura, Leanne (Jason), Ryan (Shye), Robert (Nikki), Kelly, Michael (Rebecca), David, and Thomas; and six great-grandchildren. Mom is survived by her siblings, Elsie (Peter), George (Elsie), Peter (Nina), Michael (Verna), Danny (Emily), and sister-in-law Pearl, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Frank, in May 1960, parents Alexander and Polly, brother Nick, sisters Anna, Nettie and Mary. Mom was born on July 8, 1924 and raised on a farm near Verigin, Saskatchewan. She moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Dad in 1948. Widowed at a young age, Mom devoted her life to raising her family. Mom was a wonderful cook and her meals were enjoyed at many family occasions. She had many hobbies including crocheting and knitting. She loved to bowl, play cards, read and kept the family updated on her beloved Blue Jays. Mom was a long standing member of St. Alphonsus Parish and the C.W.L. Over the years Mom worked at the downtown Hudson's Bay Company and K-Mart, retiring in 1989. A private family service and interment has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. Wishing you could have stayed with us a little longer. You are forever in our Hearts.
