Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE HENRY (HARRY) BOOTH September 19, 1922 - October 7, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Harry Booth. Harry leaves behind many who love him: his wife, Thelma and beloved stepchildren, Maryan, Dick and Colleen; grandchildren, Cameron, Michael, Andrew, Lissa, Megan, Matthew and Amber, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his son Glen in 2006 Harry was born in Carberry, Manitoba. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1942 as a rear gunner on Lancaster Bombers. He flew 33 missions over Europe with 100 Squadron R.A.F. Harry's brother Robert, an R.C.A.F. pilot, was shot down and killed in 1944. Harry had a successful 40 year career with The Canadian Wheat Board in Winnipeg retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 65 years A Memorial Service will be held at Ladner United Church, 4960 48th Ave. on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #61 - 4896 Delta St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's memory can be made to Ladner United Church.
