SOLVEIG BORGESEN 1928 2010 Solveig passed away peacefully on December 7, 2010 with family by her side after a brave battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Martin and just recently her precious daughter Anne. Left to mourn her passing are her loving son George (Rose), son-in-law Stan Zsyk, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister Anne Mary in Norway as well as several nieces and nephews, Solveig was born in Norway on June 6, 1928 and came to Canada in July 1954 with her young family and spent her life in Winnipeg. She was a homemaker and caregiver most of her life, devoting her time to her family. Solveig had a green thumb and loved watching her plants and flowers grow. She loved the outdoors, bird-watching, going for walks, and just putzking around. She was very kind and thoughtful. She will be sorely missed, especially at family gatherings . A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Jocelyn House, for their compassion and excellent care of Solveig during her stay there. Donations may be made to Jocelyn House, 177 Egerton Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W7 in memory of Solveig. Funeral Service to take place on Saturday, December 11 , 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception to follow. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
