PETER BRAUN Peter Braun was born October 14, 1920 in St. Joseph, Manitoba. He passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, March 14, 2011 at Charleswood Care Center, holding the hand of his loving wife, Mary (Honey). They were married for 67 years. Peter was predeceased by his sister Sarah and his great-granddaughter, Kennedy. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Mary; daughters Audrey (Jim) Burnham and Beverley (Len) Brucki; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was employed for 25 years as Manager of the Shipping Department of the Hudson Bay Company. He was a hard worker and greatly respected by all who met him. In 1949, Peter accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour. He served the Lord faithfully and was active in Christian Service until his health failed. He and Mary visited nursing homes and hospitals, bringing cheer to all. He was a man of great integrity and loyalty. His word was his bond. Peter regarded his family as God's precious gift to him. Whether on his knees or sitting at the kitchen table, he prayerfully brought them to the Throne of God. A prayer warrior, he regularly held up friends and those in need in prayer. The family would like to Thank Dr. Kotecha and the kind staff at Charleswood Care Center. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
