RONALD BRAUN It is with deep sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Ron after his brief, but courageous battle with cancer, on April 23, 2011 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 60 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 35 years, Pat; sons Jeffrey, Craig, and Terry; parents Martin and Josephine; sisters Velda (Bill) and Betty Lou (Bill), and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his sister Dianna in 2006. Ron was a quiet and peaceful man, whose family meant the world to him. His greatest pride and joy in life was his three sons. He was a man of few words, but never failed to express how proud he was of them and all of their accomplishments. He never missed a practice or game of any sport the boys were involved in. He loved the family camping trips and the seasonal camp spot at Nutimik Lake. Ron especially enjoyed all family celebrations, with Christmas being his favourite. He loved Christmas music, and never tired of listening to it. He enjoyed being with his friends, sitting by the fire pit, or playing cards. He loved playing crib with mom and Dad and took great pleasure in his many wins. He will be greatly missed. Service of Remembrance will be held at Klassen Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9. The family wishes to thank Health Sciences Centre - GH3 Dr. MacKay and staff, as well as Riverview Health Centre Dr. Crow and staff for their care and compassion.
