THEODORUS (TED) DE BOER December 29, 1924 - November 15, 2011 It is with sadness that the family of Theo de Boer announces his passing at the Lions Personal Care Centre. He will be sadly missed by Anna, his loving wife of 62 years. He also leaves behind his four children: Theo (Tina), Adrian (Maureen), William (Valerie), and Johanna (Blaise); 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Theo was born in The Netherlands being the only son with seven sisters. Theo and Anna brought their four children to Canada in 1959 moving to Selkirk where he began a lifelong career with Manitoba Hydro. He worked hard, but always made time for his family and friends. He and mom loved to dance and were often seen Saturday nights at the Army and Navy (A.N.A.F.). After retirement he moved to the Fred Douglas Place in Winnipeg. He enjoyed his retirement with mom square dancing and traveling, including spending numerous winters south. Our special thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Lions Personal Care Centre for their care and compassion during our dad's residency there. Mom especially appreciated all their support and assistance. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. Dad, you fought a good fight and may you rest in peace. We love you. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 BROADWAY, WINNIPEG, MB R3C 0X4 783-7211 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsonfuneralchapel.com
