ALBERT EDWARD (TED) BOULTON 1928 - 2011 Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday November 23, 2011 Ted passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre after struggling (for many years) with Alzheimer's disease. Ted leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty Ann, daughters Karen (Barney), Laura (Derek), sons, William and David (Terrie), grandchildren Thomas, Hailey, Guillaume, Cole, Adam and Kenna. Ted was predeceased by his sisters Kathleen, Patsy and Shirley, and brother Alan. The family would like friends and colleagues to remember him from his busy and vital early years and from his long and successful business career. Ted was a student at St. John's Cathedral School and a wonderful player in Junior Hockey for both the Brandon Wheat Kings and the Winnipeg Canadiens. They wrote of him: 'he sliced through the defense like a hot knife through butter' and claimed he had 'the hardest shot in hockey.' His active business life was in the family-owned companies The City Dray and Boulton Motors and in his own company, Safeguard Storage. Ted loved socializing, athletics and the outdoors. He treasured times spent with close friends 'the Monday putters' at St. Charles. He loved flying, hunting, fishing and skiing and relaxing at the lake, both at West Hawk and Lake of the Woods. He was a lifetime member of the Winnipeg Squash Club. Most of all he was a wonderful family man. Life with Dad was an endless series of exciting adventures. (It would take a lifetime to tell all the stories.) Special thanks to the Special Care Unit (SCU) of Deer Lodge Centre who have given him such wonderful care in recent years. Flowers respectfully declined. If friends so desire donations in Ted's name to the SCU unit at Deer Lodge or to a charity of their choice would be appreciated. A private family service is being held. Rest well Ted, we will miss you. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
