Robert was born in Winnipeg and grew up on the family farm in Rosser. He met the love of his life, Audrey Hardy, in 1957. They were married in October of 1961, and took up residence on the Maxwell family farm. This is where they built their life together that spanned 48 years. They were blessed with sons, Mark and Melvin. Robert was born a farmer. He loved being a farmer, whether it was working on the family farm or helping the neighbors. Robert was a great husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. There wasn't anything Robert could not fix, from machinery to our everyday disasters. He was often called upon for his expertise and opinion, whether he needed to be a mechanic or a plumber, and etc. Robert was a member of the Rockwood Ag Society. Dad was a Case man and took great pleasure in restoring his antique farm equipment. Robert and Audrey enjoyed traveling to the agriculture fairs and parades throughout the summer. He could also build exact working replicas out of woodno plans or instructions required. Wherever Dad went, his faithful side kicks, Snickers and Ozzy were by his side. Dad enjoyed bird watching, quadding, snowmobiling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Uncle Russell and Aunt Joan, Aunt Mona, Sandra and Donna for always being there for him and brightening his day. Honorary pallbearers: Russell Maxwell, Bill Hyde, Sandra Gibb, Jean Hardy, Wally Bilecky, Curtis Maxwell, and Kade Maxwell We will miss you Robert!
