Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVETTE JOSEPHINE AUBIN (nee MANAIGRE) May 1, 1924 - November 30, 2011 Peacefully and with great dignity, Mom passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the age of 87 years young. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 62 years, Marcel Aubin. Yvette was born and raised in Lorette, Manitoba, eldest daughter of Ernest and Colombe Manaigre. She met and married the love of her life on April 23, 1949. Together they built a home and a family in St. Adolphe, Manitoba where they raised six beautiful children: Diane (Lawrence), Jeannette (Daniel), Raynald (Denise), Raymond (Shirley), Roger (Diane), Mona (Jeff); 15 grandchildren - two stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren - four stepgreat-grandchildren. Other family members include: on the Manaigre side - (Laurette), René (Thérèse), Maurice (Yolande), Patrice (Yvette), Lucien (Léona), Annette (Gérald), Lucienne (Paul), Louis (Pierrette), Jeannine (Joe), (Joanne); the Aubin side - (Thérèse), Laurent (Annie), Lorette, Jeannine (Neil). She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Colombe (née Belisle); brothers, Roland and Claude; sister-in-law Alice; in-laws, Philippe and Alice (née Sylvestre); brothers-in-law, Médéric and Aimé; grandchildren, Joey Stott and Carmen Aubin. Everyone knew Mom had a heart filled with kindness and unconditional love. She was totally committed to her family and her deep faith sustained her throughout life's trials and tribulations. Country living provided Mom with all the simple pleasures of life with gardening and cooking. Anyone dropping in would be welcomed with plenty of home-cooked meals, and the deck of cards was always ready for a good game of Whist and the ever famous animated drawing of the chicoque . Mémère's own rules for Rummy were taught and passed on to grandchildren. She did not like to lose! (Mémère never lost a game as she was the score-keeper). Camping became a passion for both Mom and Dad with many family camping weekends and trips down south. A special mention goes out to Marie-Ange and Paul Boulet who became regular camping buddies throughout the years. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Cathedral Manor and to all who tended to Mom while she was at Saint Boniface Hospital. Prayers will take place on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Following the interment, the family wishes to invite all for coffee at the Pioneer Centre in St. Adolphe. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory can be made to support missionary works in Bolivia through Centre Missionnaire Oblat, 1215 rue de la Visitation, Montreal (QB) H2L 3B5.
