Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALPHONSE ARTHUR JOSEPH FOURNIER March 5, 1933 - November 29, 2011 Alphonse passed away unexpectedly at his home in Richer on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. He leaves to mourn Aline; his children, Marcelle, Roger (Paulette), Lise (Henri), Gérald, Ginette (Robert) and Jean (Twyla); his grandchildren, David (Charlene), Francine (Jack), Jarrod (Megan), Eric (Tara), Luc (Catherine), Mélanie (Gilbert), Renel, Stephanie, Kristin, and Marissa; and one great-grandchild (Nicholas), and Kay. He is survived by sisters and brothers, Denise, Narcisse, Clémence, Evelyne, Bernard (Marge), Rose-Aimée (Vincent), Florence (Clément), Liliane (Lucien) and Oscar (Fran); and sister-in-law Anita, as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Narcisse Fournier; and his siblings, Henriette, Etienne and Gilbert. Alphonse was born on March 5, 1933 in LaBroquerie, the small village he loved so dearly. He lived on the family farm, attended school in LaBroquerie and later the Collège de St. Boniface. Dad was a hard working man and entrepreneur who loved to laugh, and mostly to make others laugh. He was a gifted tenor who brought much pleasure to others through this amazing gift. He was able to repair or build anything. He loved and was proud of his children and always found time to be of service to others. Rest well, Papa, we will miss you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA-Manitoba). Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Joachim Parish, in LaBroquerie, MB. Eulogy will be said at 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
