Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD GEORGE FURBER (THE PREZ) Peacefully, on November 27, 2011, Dad passed away, with the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, June at his side. Left to cherish his memory are his children, who he was so very proud of, daughter Fran (Ron); sons, Joseph (Gloria), Darcy (Pam) and Leonard (Michelle); nine beautiful grand-children, Cara, Jered, Emma, Lena, Kaylee, Madisyn, Lexi, Dexter and Gabrielle; along with the two great ones, Kennedy and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Pat); numerous brother and sister-in-laws and his wonderful mother-in-law Sophie Sanderson. Dad was predeceased by his father William; mother Jean; and brother Harvey. Dad was employed with the CNR for 37 years before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed over 19 years of happy retirement. Over the years, Dad played many sports, including hockey, bowling and golf. He enjoyed his many years as a member at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club playing with his sons and his son-in-law. Dad loved spending time with his family and was never happier than when the house was alive with the whole gang over for Sunday dinners. Dad loved to listen to Hank Sr. or his old buddy, Garth Sr. Once you met Harry, he was someone you'd never forget and always left you laughing. Dad has said many times how happy his life had been and that he wouldn't have changed a thing. At Dad's request, he will be cremated, followed by a private family gathering. Flowers are gratefully declined. If one wishes, donations can be made to the CNIB. Rest in Peace, Hon, Dad, Grandpa, Papa. Dad: You were the greatest Dad anyone could wish for. We will take good care of Mom. We love you and will miss you terribly. Love Daughter. Your guidance, wit and wisdom have served me well. Go Best, Go Home, Carry-on. Love Joe. The Elmhurst Golf and Country Club in the sky has called you to the first tee. You were a great dad, caddy and friend. Love Darcy. You will be missed. Love Ahgo. From your loving wife - I'll love you forever Hon. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
