DONALD KEELE On Monday, December 5, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Donald Keele, aged 61 years of Sandy Hook, MB, beloved partner of Brenda Fox and father of Don. Full obituary to follow. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.

DONALD R. KEELE Donald R. Keele passed away Monday morning, December 5th at the age of 61 in St. Boniface General Hospital. He had suffered a severe heart attack while vacationing in Tucson with his wife Brenda. Donnie will be well remembered for his wry wit. He delighted in entertaining and getting a rise out of his close friends. Seldom would Don use his true identity over the phone but preferred that you figure it out for yourself. Don, a true music lover, hosted a U of W radio program while studying for his degree in psychology. He also lived in London for a time and returned with a wealth of Britain's latest rock and roll which had yet to gain popularity in Canada. Don's railroad career began in Winnipeg and extended to Kamloops and Vancouver and Jasper where he retired in 2005. Don was a compassionate man who spent many years helping co-workers involved in CN's employee assistance program. Don was a car nut. One of his more notable vehicles was a 1969 Mach 1. He pampered his cars and used a toothbrush to get those hard to clean spots between the letters. A Transcona native Don was the son of Don Sr. and Doris Keele growing up on Kildare Avenue East. He is survived by his wife Brenda Fox and his son Don Keele. In compliance with Don's wishes there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of Don's life is to be held at a later date.
