JAMES DAVID SCOTT (DEMPSEY) It is with deep sadness we announce the untimely passing of our dear dad, grandpa, great grandpa and brother and uncle Dempsey Scott on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Selkirk General Hospital. JAMES DAVID SCOTT (DEMPSEY) It is with deep sadness we announce the untimely passing of our dear dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and uncle. Surrounded by family Dad went into eternal rest on December 5, 2011 at 8:40 p.m., at 73 years of age. Dad is survived by his four children, Gator (Gail), Corinna (Kevin), Charlene (Doyle) and Jim; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters Anne, Pauline, Beatrice (Mel), Jean (Stanley), Mable and Laura. Dad was predeceased by his wife Bernice, parents Edith and David, sisters Isabel and Edith, and brothers-in-law Kris, Frank, Albert, Richard and Lindsay. Dad also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Dad worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. His jobs took him up north to the Territories at which time Dad moved to Edmonton where he lived for the last 30 years until moving back to Selkirk ten months ago to be closer to family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Pastor Ray Settee officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be all the grandchildren.
