GEORGE ERNEST FORBES 1924 - 2011 George passed away peacefully on December 8, 2011, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. George was born in Emo, ON to John and Jessie Forbes. In 1956 he married Georgette La Fortune. They resided in Winnipeg. He owned and operated his taxi cab in the city of Winnipeg for 50 years. George enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing with his brothers and friends. He is survived by his brothers Percy and Robert (Rosie). Preceding him in death were his wife Georgette of 55 years, his brothers Louis, Charles and Calvin. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street.
