Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDOUARD CLOVIS MANAIGRE It is with great sadness that the Manaigre family announces the passing of their husband, father, grandfather and brother Edouard on January 9, 2012. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lilliane (Petit), of 59 years, his daughters Diane (Chet), Pauline (Garry), sons Roger (Gisele), Gerald, Marcel; his grandchildren: Dominique, Sylvie, Stefan, Andrzej, Alain and Max; his brother Romeo (Thérèse), sisters Lucille and Laurette, brother-in-law Gilbert (Noëlla), and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Joseph (Pitou) and mother Anne Marie, sister Rose and brothers-in-law Roger Jeanson, Côme Dugas, Albert Lacroix and Lou, Roger and Ray Petit. Edouard passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. Edouard was born in Lorette, MB and loved and cared for his community greatly. Dad was initially a home builder and then owned Manaigre Store and Manaigre Transfer for many years. He worked long, hard hours alongside his wife Lilliane and family. He assisted in the creation of the first Lorette Volunteer Fire Department. He was involved in the starting and construction of the Lorette Arena and many other projects that needed to get started. Dad didn't believe in red tape or procedures - just getting things done! A great day for Dad was spending time with his family that he loved dearly. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at the Paroisse Notre-Dame de Lorette Parish, Lorette, MB on Friday, January 13, 2012. Eulogy will be held at 10:30 a.m. with mass to follow. The family would like to thank all the great doctors and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, especially the Cardiac CCU Unit (5A West) and all their angels especially Stacey and Krista in his last days, including Dr. Jacques and all the numerous others who helped Dad in his final month. Family and friends are invited to sign the book of condolences at www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949

I have very fond memories of M Manaigre, Mme Manaigre and the kids. Our family grew up on Johnson St. across from the store. We were there daily, being teased by Edouard with his wacky sense of humor. My deepest sympathies to Lilliane and the children. - Posted by: Dolorès Tétreault-Patenaude (grew up going to his store daily) on: Jan 12, 2012

I remember Ed as a hard working man. As the obituary reads, he was not one for "red tape." He was an action man - let's get her done. Pas de "f***alage". Yes that was Edouard. - Posted by: Fabien Desmarais (friend) on: Jan 11, 2012
