STEPHANIE (STEFANINA) ANN FOX (nee ZALESKI) Peacefully at Red River Place, surrounded by her loving children, Stephanie passed away on January 7, 2012. Mom was born on October 23, 1929, and grew up in St. Martin, Manitoba. She worked at various jobs throughout the years, then for 17 years as a custodian for the Lord Selkirk School Division, until her health forced her to retire. Mom had a love for nature, as she loved to watch the different kinds of birds on the feeders. She always looked forward to having her dogs, Sheena, Sammy and Max come to visit her on a regular basis at the nursing home. Mom loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed having her grandchildren visit. Also, Mom and Dad loved to attend all kind of sports or events their grandchildren were involved in. Be it hockey to Ukrainian Dancing, they were very proud of their accomplishments. Left to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren: daughter Carol and Raymond Gregg, Bradley and Laura Gregg, Kristy and Phil d'Auteuil; son John and Cathy Fox, Nicholas (Dawn), Shandal (Alex) and Heather (Chad); daughter Susan and Bryan Pyziak and Carlene; son Jason and Sheila Fox, Cody and Carson; son Michael and Sandra Fox, Alayna and Collin. She is also survived by her sisters Michajlina Pat Hayden and Helen Kitchur; sisters-in-law Helen Zaleski and Vernice Zaleski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. Stephanie was predeceased by her loving husband George, of 49 years in 2004; her parents Michael and Josephine Zaleski; brothers Joe, Broney and John; sister Sophie and brother-in-law Jim Klassen; parents-in-law John and Gertrude Fox; daughter-in-law Sharon Fox; in-laws Charlie and Margaret Fox, Edward Hayden, Joe Kitchur; niece Linda Fox; great- niece Stacey Fox, and nephews Wade Zaleski and Alvin Kitchur. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Red River Place Personal Care Home for their exceptional care given to Mom over the past seven years. A special thank you to nurse Cindy M. for her compassionate care she had shown us during this most difficult time. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Mom will be laid to rest beside Dad at St. Peter's Dynevor. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephanie's memory to the Recreation Program c/o Red River Place, 133 Manchester Avenue, Selkirk, MB, R1A 0B5 or Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
