Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN PETER HIEBERT May 5, 1947 - January 13, 2012 Peacefully on January 13, 2012, John passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to mourn are sister-in-law Shirley, brother David and wife Flor, sister Lorna, sister Barbara and husband Jon, brother George and wife Bev, and numerous nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. John was predeceased by his parents Abe and Anne, and brother Abe. In his early years, John had a great sense of humour and a love of the outdoors. While he became more isolated in his later years, he retained his love of the outdoors and his passion for model airplanes and ships. Until near the end, he loved to recount tales of his fishing and hunting adventures. The family would like to acknowledge, with gratitude, the enormous efforts Lorna made in his last few months and years to assist John with his life. The family would also like to thank Ray Richter and Al Ginter who were very good and kind neighbours to John. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivary Blvd. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends and relatives may make a donation to the Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 5K9 should they so wish. I was on many fishing trips with John. John was employed with us at Jets plumbing and heating. He was the best boiler man we ever had, approx. 20 yrs with us. We will miss him and we wish him a better life in his new place. Happy fishing John. Keep your line in the water - Posted by: garry schlag (former employer) on: Jan 24, 2012
