Aunt Kay was always close to my heart. Her stamina, her vitality, her humour were things that inspired me. She had a long life, starting as the youngest of 13 in a rural Manitoba setting, marrying Uncle Albert who served Canada in the war. She and Albert lost their only child, Ron (a Winnipeg police officer) and then she lost her husband. Kay will live on in my memory and I am so very happy to have known her.
