MARION DUECK Marion Dueck passed away peacefully at the Morris General Hospital on January 24, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry in 2007, two daughters Gloria and Valerie who died in infancy, and a brother, Melvin. Left to mourn her passing are her sons Randy (Carol and grandchildren Jane and Virginia) and Greg (Lori and grandchildren Angela and Gregory), as well as a brother Allan Dueck (Elda) and a sister-in-law Anne Hildebrand (Peter). Marion was born in the Morris-Rosenhoff area on November 12, 1927. She was Henry's true partner in all matters involving her sons and running the family farm. Marion was an avid gardener and was renowned as a baker of exceptional zwieback. While her Christian faith, the community, and her friends were the cornerstones of her life, she got and gave the most pleasure imaginable with her grandchildren. Family gatherings with cousins, aunts, and uncles were treasured as were the trips she and Dad took around North America after they retired. The family acknowledges those who looked after Mom, first Homecare and staff at Rosenort Housing Co-Operative where she and Dad moved after they retired and where her Alzheimer's progressed after Dad passed and more recently, the wonderful staff at the Morris General Hospital. The funeral will take place on January 28, 2012 at the Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church south of Rosenort at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would suggest a donation to Inner City Youth Alive, Winnipeg MB, or Joe's Place, Moose Jaw, SK.
