Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENIS (DANNY) PAQUETTE 1955 - 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Denis at age 56, on Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was predeceased by his dad Emile Paquette and stepdad Maurice Plamondon. He is survived by his loving partner, Donna Goranson; daughter Taryn; son Scott Feener (Sam); their mother Jaye Feener; grandson Rhett; mother Rita Plamondon; brothers Roger and Mike (Lisa); niece Danna, an aunt and several cousins. Denis retired to the Gimli area after working for over 35 year at CN Railway. Denis spent countless years coaching community sports in the St. Vital area. He loved to work and golf at River Oaks Golf Course and generally just loved the outdoors. He cherished visits with family and friends, had a great sense of humour, big heart and was busy making friends wherever he went. His work ethic was second to none, as was made evident by his commitment to overcome his challenges throughout the past year. At his request cremation has taken place and interment to follow at a later date. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

I am very saddened by this news. I coached Taryn in ringette many years ago and I remember Danny always there to lend me a helping hand. A truly loving man with a huge heart. Rest in peace Danny. - Posted by: Keri Emms (Butchart) (Friend) on: Jan 30, 2012

My sincere condolences to the entire family of the sudden passing of Denis (Danny), especially to Taryn, Scott Sam and Rhett, Jaye and his partner Donna. I spent lots of time on the golf course with Danny, coached with him, enjoyed many good times at their home with him. He always was fun to be around and I will miss him. God's speed my friend. - Posted by: Vern Hiebert (friend) on: Jan 30, 2012

Jaye, Scott (Sam) Taryn and Rhett Danny loved his family and friends, and I remember the day he held Baby Rhett for the first time. We will always remember our fun times and also my birthday at Shooting Star. A great guy will be Remembered. Our Sympathy is also extended to Donna. - Posted by: Ron & Penny Buckingham (Friend) on: Jan 30, 2012

I wanted to pass along my sympathies to both Donna and Taryn. One of my memories of my Uncle Danny was that he taught me to colour a rainbow on a piece of paper with crayons, then take a black crayon and cover the rainbow entirely. Then take a sharp object and scrape off the black crayon in a picture motion and you will have a beautiful creation! That always stuck with me for some reason. I remember his laugh and his smile. Although he divorced my Auntie Laurie when I was young, I missed him not being more active in my life. But c'est la vie!! I hope that you have lots of happy memories and have the strength to get through this tough time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his close family. - Posted by: Jennipher Craig-Ranger (Danny's God-Daughter (& Niece-Laurie-Craig-Taylor)) on: Jan 30, 2012

Dear Jaye, Scott and Taryn, Sorry to hear about Danny. It has been many years since I have talked to you Jaye. We had many fun times at the hockey games laughing and cheering on the team together. The memories of Danny will always live on in your hearts. Bless you all. We only met Danny twice at the time his brother Michael was very seriously ill in 2009. We could see that he was a very compassionate person. Our sympathies to all members of the family - Posted by: Julia Hall & Marcel Gendron () on: Jan 28, 2012
