Born: Mar 01, 1998
Date of Passing: Jan 26, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMARA JADE FJELDSTED It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend Samara Jade on January 26, 2012. Sam was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 1, 1998, and was raised in Lundar, MB. She attended both the Lundar and Eriksdale schools until her family recently moved to Ashern where she had already made many good friends. Sam was a very bright girl regularly achieving high marks in school. She was an avid photographer never going far without her camera. She loved hanging out with her friends, chillin' on her laptop, listening to music and spending time with her family and pets. She had a very special bond with her sister Alexis and brother Jayden. There was so much laughing and giggling when they were together, it was very heart-warming and will be forever in our hearts. Samara touched so many hearts in the short time she was with us. She may be gone but she'll never be forgotten. She will be sadly missed by her mom Sharona (Sherman); her dad Rhys (Winter); stepdad Norman; sister Alexis; brother Jayden; Poppa Ken Foster (Lynn); Poppa Joe Fjeldsted (Kathy); grandma Kathleen Axtell; great-grandmother Asa Fjeldsted; aunties Kendra (Steve), Kim (Wayne), Shaunna (Rick), Kirstin (David); uncles Brad (Anna Marie), Aldo, Mike (Millie) and Gord; cousins Shayne, Tessa, Nevaeh, Taylor, Jordan, Ricky, Nicco, Holly, Ben, Gabrielle, Stefano, Tyler, Tracy, Bailey, Braydon, Henry and Ashley along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will also be missed by her pets Poncho, Radar and Molly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Lundar Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. Service will conclude at the hall with cremation to follow and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be her immediate family. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Samara's good friends who meant so much to her and she to them. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the paramedics, Dr. Faltas, nurses and staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern for their valiant efforts. It will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Samara's memory to Kid's Help Phone, 2150 Scarth Street, Suite 120, Regina, SK, S4P 2H7. Sam, I still can't believe that you're gone. When we got the news last Friday morning my heart skipped a few beats. From the first day you got here, I liked you, and hoped you'd make a good friend. That you did, we didn't hang out alot. But when you and me were together we always had alot of laughs. You were and still are a beautiful girl. I won't mention my name in this post, but if you're reading this, one of our first conversations was about being ticklish everywhere! One of our last was about the weather and when school would be cancelled. Good luck in the afterlife, most of our class will be attending your funeral on Thursday. I love you Samara, even though I will never understand the fullest agony of what you went through and the fullest of the agony of what Skyler is now going through. You will be missed dearly, but I will NEVER forget you. - Posted by: grade 8 student - Ashern Central School (friend) on: Jan 31, 2012
