Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I have known Mr. Hosegood for probably 55 years. We lived across the street from the Hosegood family and my family and I have many fond memories of Bob, his family and all the activities we did together. Mr. Hosegood was a gem. He was kind, thoughtful, a great father and a wonderful neighbour. His optimism and joy of Life was always there and he shared it with others in the little and big things he did that helped out everyone. He was a giver and will always be respected and remembered by our family. My condolences go out to his loved ones. • Grew up with Bob, Alexandra School. Remember his Dad's grocery Store @ Broadway & Carlton. Invited Bob for Golf many times but due to shoulder problems from hockey in Flin Flon he could not make it. Bob was a Great!guy. - Posted by: Bill King (Grew Up with him) on: Feb 12, 2012

  • Bob was a very good friend of ours, we had many great times together at our cottage, the spaghetti dinners, the concerts under the big tent in Kenora and the afternoon beer on our deck. Summers won't be the same without him. - Posted by: Fred and Aleta (good friends) on: Feb 10, 2012

  • I will always remember Mr. Hosegood as quick to smile and offer warmth and hospitality during my visits to Oakley Optical. His teasing was always good-natured, and he could take it as well as he dished it out. It was always a treat to see him during the later years when he spent less time at work and more time at the lake. A kind, well respected gentleman, I will miss him. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to 'the boys' at this sad time, but I know they will proudly carry on his legacy. - Posted by: Heather Leckie (Acquainted through business) on: Feb 09, 2012
