Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUNIOR LYLE COOKE 1946 - 2012 Junior Lyle Cooke, son of Herbert and Nellie Cooke, was born on July 27, 1946 and passed away peacefully on February 10, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Hospital. As a young man Junior left Jamaica and settled in Kenora where he worked as a Mechanic. Later he relocated to Winnipeg and became the owner of Leo's Auto Body on Dufferin Avenue. Junior was blessed to have four daughters: Sharon, Claudine, Nadine, and Beverlee. He was also stepfather to Heather and Maxine. He has left behind sisters, Claire and Maureen, and brothers, Byron and Bing who passed at age 68. There are many nieces and nephews who loved him and are mourning his loss. His children, nephews, nieces, and friends will remember him, the Linden Woods community, and his co-workers and businesses associated with Leo's Auto Body. Viewing will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. February 16 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on February 17 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home with reception to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for all of your care and compassion. You can never be separated from those you love. They remain in your memory like a precious work of art. Kept not in a museum, but deep within your heart. Worked for junior for over 25 years. We always had respect for each other. Through all the years we worked together, we built family and friendships that will outlive us both.
