COLIN STRAIN Colin Strain passed away quietly on February 24, 2012 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his wife Molly in 2007 and is survived by his children Joanne, Shirley, Nancy, and Rick; his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He served in our Armed Forces for 25 years and retired to Steep Rock, MB with his wife Molly, of 36 years. He was an avid fisherman, boater and snowmobiler. He also played a mean game of cribbage. All who know him will remember his tall tales. In keeping with Colin's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service held. The family would like to thank the Ashern Home Care, Pioneer Manor, LIFE Office and Lakeshore General Hospital for taking good care of him. Special thanks to Mary Balaniuk, Mandy Gall, Helen Webster and Natalie Christiansen for all their help and support. He will always be remembered. Rest in peace. Colin was an amazing person. He was caring, funny, and if you got along he was a very good person. Sure he had his love of a good discussion and the more heated the better he liked it. Colin and I worked together for quite a long time and I saw him in many different lights. After Molly passed he was different and mellowed out over the years. Life was not kind to him. He was a great dog lover and enjoyed his cat. I shall miss him and always remember our games of crib, and his sense of humor.
