BRYAN STOKES After a short and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bryan, on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the age of 53 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rita (nee) Levesque, stepchildren Christine Trudeau and Michel Trudeau. He also leaves to mourn his brother Christopher (Marilyn), niece Ashley, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and John Stokes. A celebration of Bryan's life will be held on Friday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Rm ON 1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.   • I knew Bryan for over 40 years, being next door neighbours at our families cottages at Brereton Lake. Bryan and I spent a lot of time together during summer holidays & weekends at our cottages. He was a good friend & I will miss him. My condolences to Brian's wife & step-children, his brother Chris & his family, and all other family members. We'll meet one day again down the Rennie River.
