Katie was a wonderful person to have in your life. If she was your friend it was unconditional and there were no limits to her kindness and generosity. Katie loved her rides on the Harley with Roy, any time spent with her grandchildren, certain plants and the company and laughter of her friends. Coffee at the boat, the rides on the bike to Kenora and Taz the meathead were some of her favourite things. Her courage and strength of spirit were with her till the end, she will be sorely missed and her mischievous smile will be forever etched in the minds of all who knew her. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • It took some time to believe she's not coming back. Her presence was captivating and engaging. What an empty spot that she's not here anymore. Still Love her! She was my friend and what a friend you could have. God Bless You - Posted by: Al Joba (Friend) on: Nov 27, 2021

  • I gave a copy of your book "When You're Gone" to a young widow yesterday. - Posted by: Ethel Jacobs () on: Sep 15, 2014

  • Katie you are truly missed here on earth! You are among the strongest and most honest people I have ever had the honor of knowing. It is because of your strength that you and I were able to talk openly and say our “see ya laters" before you had to leave. You and I had lots in common and would share laughs about some of our shared experiences. I think of you every time that I am on the Harley and wish you could be feeling the wind on your face many more times with that beautiful smile of yours. I will forever remember your smile! We always talked about what is of greatest importance to us, our kids. I will always be grateful to you Katie for the genuine love and close relationships you shared with my Sons. You gave them so much of your love and time! Your advice and encouragement was very supportive. You and Roy kept an open door for Matt and Jonathan, and for any friends they would bring over with them. You quickly became a favorite with their friends too. You are going to be forever in our hearts and thoughts of you will always bring a smile to us. Love, Sherri Nelson - Posted by: Sherri Nelson (Friend) on: Jun 05, 2012

  • Katie there is not one day that goes by that I don't think of you. I miss you so much. I went to your house and spent a day with Roy, Matty and April. It was hard being there. I could still feel your presence. I love you and I miss you our conversations and your blunt motherly advice that I still seek from you. But I know you are no longer suffering. Love you with all my heart. R.I.P Ma - Posted by: Kristi (My step "Ma") on: May 25, 2012
