IRMGARD MORTH (nee SCHIEMAN) Irma passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Victoria General Hospital after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born to Theo and Alvina (Pokrant) Schieman at Esk, Saskatchewan on January 25, 1936. The family moved to Manitoba in the fall of the same year and settled on a farm north of Rosenfeld. She attended Steinfeld School, then moved to Winnipeg, where she worked at various jobs. She upgraded her education and then took a hair dressing course. Upon graduation she began her career at Mario's in Polo Park and later moved to Grant Park Centre where she worked until she retired. In 1985, she married Emil Morth, who predeceased her. Irma is survived and lovingly remembered by her sister Marion Coulton and husband Bill of Consort, Alberta, brother Len and wife Lil of Rosenfeld, Manitoba, three nieces, one nephew and their families. Irma was confirmed at, and a lifelong member of, St. John Lutheran Church in Rosenfeld, Manitoba. Family and friends will gather there on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, the St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or a charity of your choice.
