MATILDE DE ROSE February 17, 1927 - March 17, 2012 Peacefully on March 17, 2012, Matilde De Rose passed away at the age of 85. Matilde was born on February 17, 1927 in Lappano-Cosenza, Italy. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Giovanna (Tony Ruggirello) of Windsor, ON, Mirella (Franco Cesario), grandchildren, Anthony (Jodi), Daniela (Danny), Belinda, Melissa (Colin), Michael and great-grandson Julian. She is also survived by three sisters, and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. She was predeceased by her husband Guiseppe in January 1999 and also by three brothers and three sisters and by many brothers and sisters-in-law. Thank you to the staff at 3 North at Grace Hospital and also to PRIME for their care as well as her home care staff. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Viewing will be one hour prior to the mass. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
