JOANNE REECE On Saturday, March 24, 2012, with her family by her side, JoAnne left us to join Buddy her soul mate on a new journey. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Angela (Rian), Jayme (Colin), nephew Joshua (Megan), grandchildren Shawn, Leah, Logan, and Starr. She also leaves numerous family and friends. JoAnne was born in St. Rose Du Lac to Alphonse and Grace Chaput. She lived the majority of her life in Lorette, Manitoba. In 1974 JoAnne married her soul mate Buddy, together they lived an amazing life, always having fun even through the tough times. Our mom was caring, loving and always supportive. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren with every bit of her heart. Mom loved her yard and gardens but one of her most special moments was sitting on the swing with her best companion Teka. The family would like to thank the Portage la Prairie General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit and Dr. Kinnear for their care and compassion during this time. Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunset Palliative Care Inc., Box 92, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba R1N 3B2, 204-857-3746 THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

I am sorry that busy lives got in the way in the later years but I treasure the time we spent together when I was a teenager and young adult. I spent many weekends at their house. When I was married, Uncle Buddy did the toast to the bride. Aunty Joanne was my bridesmaid. They were an Aunty and Uncle but I considered them two of my best friends. They are greatly missed. Angela and Jamie, I am sorry for your loss and please call me if you need anything or just to talk. - Posted by: Lorri Palmer (Niece) on: Apr 02, 2012

Our sympathies to the Reece and Oster families. Joanne's life was filled with those who loved her and Buddy. You have a strong extended family for support. David and I are so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Janice Low. - Posted by: Janice Low (Friend of the Osters) on: Mar 31, 2012

I had the privilege of meeting Joanne through Buddy, whom I worked with at Granny's Poultry. When Bud was ill she was his rock. My daughter babysat the grandkids on a few occasions and being a small community, all who knew Joanne and Bud had wonderful things to say. What a beautiful, vibrant couple. - Posted by: Carol Shah (Co-worker to Bud) on: Mar 30, 2012

Our whole family is saddened by the loss of our dear friend Joanne. Over the years we spent much time with Joanne, Buddy and her two girls, enjoying many camping trips together. She was like a sister to my sister Gloria and Glo always spoke about the many great times her and Joanne spent together. We will miss you always - Posted by: Deborah Bailey (Friend) on: Mar 30, 2012

I will greatly miss my little sister, sadly somewhat because of our different life choices we lost touch with one another but thru the years I have not lost the love I have always had for all of my sisters and other family members I don't think I can bring myself to attend and say goodbye as I like to remember her in life as she was. love and condolences to all concerned..God bless you all Lionel.. - Posted by: lionel chaput (brother) on: Mar 30, 2012

Joanne will be missed. Joanne did a wonderful job for us and for others for many years. Both Buddy and Joanne. We always felt that with her creativity, she should have been a stylist for homes as she always arranged things beautifully at our place. So sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Shirley Martens (Client of Joanne's) on: Mar 30, 2012

JoJo was a big sister to me as we lived next door for many years. She always liked to dance with me and her little sister. Loved her 60's music and I still love those songs today. Now she's Angel JoJo. With love and support to Angela, Jayme and family Jackie. - Posted by: Jackie Chaput (1st Cousin to JoJo. ) on: Mar 29, 2012

She was a quiet but bold little person in my view. She also has 2 sisters & a brother who loved her much. I was raised by her parents for a time in Prairie Grove. She would mostly listen instead of chatting. May Jehovah give strength to her loved ones - Posted by: len ( josies boy) pastetnik (cousin) on: Mar 28, 2012
