ANNE DUECK Anne Dueck (nee Klassen) passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Frank B. Dueck in June 1994, and her daughter Elvira in May 2008. She is survived by sons Irwin (Marilyn) and Elmer (Christal); daughters Ruth (Gerald Thiessen), Dianne (Glenn Friesen), and Judy (Allan Friesen); and son-in-law Ben Dueck. She is also survived by 16 much loved grandchildren, Kevin, Myron (Tracey), Melissa (Jason), David, Jonathon, Marcia (Mark), Brent (Jacquie), Sherrilynn (Jared), Andrea (Corey), Scott (Stephanie), Derek (Liana), Mark (Ashley), Victoria (Curtis), Jeff (Amanda), Ashley (Brenden), and Sean; and her nine great-grandchildren, Elijah, Sloane, Darius, Josiah, Ethan, Seth, Anna, Ellery, and Jackson. Anne was born to Abram and Maria Klassen of Rosenhof, MB, on November 6, 1924. She married Frank B. Dueck of Kleefeld, MB, on November 12, 1944. The early years of their marriage took them to Hudson Bay Junction, SK, and Steinbach, MB. They settled in the Rosenort area after the 1950 flood whereupon Frank started his moving business. The following years were spent raising their family, expanding their business, and enjoying their community and church involvement. Anne's faith in Christ was paramount, her life and example showed it. She lovingly raised her family, supported her husband, and cared for her elderly mother. Anne loved people. Her home was always open, and she welcomed everyone. She loved to prepare meals for her many guests, and was an excellent gardener and seamstress. When her grandchildren came along, she delighted in caring for and spending time with them. Everyone who met her felt her warmth, love, and acceptance. The family wishes to thank the exceptional caring staff of the Morris Hospital and Red River Valley Lodge, who took such wonderful care of our mother over the past two years. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada, 20 Hopewell Way N.E. Calgary, AB, T3J 5H5; or online at www.billygraham.ca. Funeral services will be held at the Rosenort Evangelical Mennonite Church, 509 River Road South, Rosenort, on Tuesday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing and a devotional will also be held at the church, on Monday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. Morris Funeral Home 204-746-2451 Toll Free 1-866-746-2451 www.morrisfuneralhome.ca
