ANNE KOVAL (nee KORCHUK) With great sadness and happy memories, the family of Anne Koval announce her passing on April 3, 2012 at 3:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Hospital. Anne was the wife of Walter G. Koval for 50 happy years until his passing on September 7, 1992. She was also predeceased by her only brother, Nick and granddaughter, Cathy Holland. Anne was a talented seamstress and loved to cook, bake, knit, crochet and garden, in addition to spending time in her sunroom. Anne made many pots of soup for her grandchildren and whenever they came to visit the first words she said were, Are you hungry? She lived in her own home until August of 2011 and then moved to Thorvaldson Care Centre on Stradbrook. She loved living there and enjoyed the company of many residents. Many thanks to the caring and compassionate staff who made her feel safe and secure. She will be forever loved and missed by her devoted family; her two daughters, Carole (Morris) Subtelny and Diane (John) Holland; her seven grandchildren: Lori (Christopher) Redd, Carrie Subtelny, Tammy Subtelny (Dave Beeusaert), special grandson, Michael Subtelny, Richard (Karen) Holland, Robbie (Val) Holland and Colleen (Shane) Draper. Anne had 18 great-grandchildren: Emyli, Rebecca and Josiah Redd; Zachary, Joshua and Andrew (Subtelny/Harder); Jack, Emma, John and Eddie (Subtelny/ Beeusaert); Samantha and Megan Holland; Ashley, Kyra and Bret Draper; Kate, Jake and Kyle Holland. Mom lived with strength, generosity and a servant heart , devoted to loving and serving her family. A celebration of Mom's life will be on Easter Monday, April 9, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service with Father Fred Olds officiating in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
