ERNIE TODORUK Ernie died suddenly on April 4, 2012 at 74 years of age. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Dianna; by his children Derrick, Andrea and Mark; as well as by daughter-in-law Maria (de Kluyver) and son-in-law Niklas Lundquist. Ernie was also the proud grandfather of Michael and Kyle Todoruk, and Laban and Anton Lundquist; and a loyal friend to his relatives from Dauphin, Manitoba, where he was born and raised. His family includes nieces and a nephew from the Andriechuk family: Connie, Terri, Ernie and Audrey, as well as many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be remembered fondly by his sister- and brother-in-law Pat and Ted Green, niece Karen, nephews Chris and Brian; and by stepsisters Sylvia, Rosaleen and Gladys (all née Syrnyk). After a 32-year career teaching in the Transcona-Springfield School Division, Ernie retired in 1994 and devoted himself selflessly to family. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Josephine; stepmother Anne; sister Nellie and brother-in-law Walter Andriechuk; and by his father- and mother-in-law Silvio and Marie Mascarin. A memorial service for family took place on April 10 at E.J. Coutu Funeral Home, followed by interment at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, celebrate Ernie's life with a donation to a charity of your choice. The family offers heartfelt thanks to Rev. Dr. Gregory Zubacz of the Ukrainian Catholic Parish of St. Michael in Transcona, to Rev. Fr. Deacon Victor Humniski, and to many relatives, friends and neighbours who offered support during this difficult time. Sincere gratitude is also extended to the staff of E.J. Coutu Co. for their compassionate and professional handling of arrangements. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 253-5086 ejcoutu.com
