CAMILLE SYRENNE On April 17, 2012, on the Palliative Ward at St. Boniface Hospital our husband, dad, pepère Camille passed away peacefully. Camille leaves to mourn his wife Marguerite (nee Blanchard), his children: Lucille and Mike Pankiw, Gerald, Gisèle and Frank Mravec, Robert, Richard and Karilee; his five precious grandchildren: Marissa and Neil Nimchan, Joey, Jori, Kevan and Julian. He also leaves his twin brother Gilles and Marlene, René, Fatty and Eva; his in-laws Maurice and Dolores Blanchard, and Anna Jobin. Camille was predeceased by his parents Emile and Marguerite Syrenne, his sister Aline Dureault and husband Ti-Bi and his sister-in-law Anne Marie Syrenne. Dad was born an identical twin on June 18, 1931, in his home in Fannystelle, Manitoba. Mom and dad got married and settled in Elm Creek. They moved to Winnipeg in 1958. Dad worked almost 40 years at Supercrete/Lafarge. Cam worked very hard and was always concerned about taking care of his family. Dad retired at 65 and started his new career, where he could set his own hours, pick which jobs he wanted to do and when quitting time would be. This new career allowed him to spend time with his grandchildren, leaving them with beautiful memories. Dad's last years were tough due to ongoing health issues but being the person that he was he never let it bring him down. He fought a courageous fight right to the end. His wife and children are left with wonderful memories that they will carry forever. The family would like to thank Menno from Raina for being more than a delivery guy. Dad always looked forward to his Thursday morning visit. We would like to thank the Palliative Home Care Team, as without them dad wouldn't have been able to stay home as long as he did. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Ward who made sure this journey was done with dignity and support, not only for dad but his entire family. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23 at Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens Roman Catholic Church, 282 Dussault Avenue. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Endowment Fund, 409 Taché Avenue, Room D1003, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6 Condolences may be sent to www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
