ELSIE KOHUT It is with broken hearts and a devastating sense of sorrow that we announce the passing of Elsie Kohut, our most beloved and treasured mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on April 21, 2012, just weeks before her 80th birthday. Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her daughter Dixie (Paul) Ritchot, grandchildren Carrie, Jason (Trina), and Kristy (Mark); stepson Dennis (Elaine) Kohut, grandchildren James and Alan (Sarah); sisters Pauline, Helen (Michael), and Vicky (Charlie); brothers Dan (Bella) and John (Diane); as well as numerous relatives and friends. Mom was predeceased by her parents John and Emelia, husbands William and Nick, and sisters Anne, Mary and Marge. Mom was legendary for her delicious Ukrainian cooking, especially her perogies. She was constantly cooking, baking and sharing her goodies with family and friends. Her grandchildren were so spoiled with all her homemade cookies. Mom was a truly good person. She was always giving without expecting anything in return. She will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, hard work ethic, countless volunteer hours, limitless contributions to the town of Morris, and so much more. To her family, she will forever be the best Mom and Grandma - always there to give us her unconditional love and support. Her legacy is immeasurable. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church in Morris. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. May God take care of you in heaven just as you took care of us.
