Mom will be lovingly remembered by her two children Carol (Dick) Frenz and Bill (Debbie) Wallace; her son-in-law Rick Bobbie (Joyce); her seven grandchildren Krista (Wes) Chalifoux, Diana Bobbie (Stefan Lindner), Carley (Matt) Roth, Colby (Megan) Wallace, Kyle (Stacey) Frenz, Paige Bobbie, Carson Wallace; three great-grandchildren Holly, Whitney and Caleb; sister-in-law Mary Thorne, brother-in-law Warren McCoy, nephews Tim McCoy, Brian McDowell and Doug (Tammy) Thorne and many wonderful friends. Mom was predeceased by her parents Anita and William Espinosa; husband Raymond; daughter Donna Bobbie; her two sisters Carol McCoy and Alice McDowell and her brother Bill Thorne. Mom was a very kind, caring, independent and most generous person who always cared about others first. She was a great lady in so many ways. Never too busy to lend a hand, prepare a meal, listen to your story or just offer her infectious smile to anyone that stopped by for a visit; Mom was extremely well thought of and loved by her family and many friends. Mom was born in Winnipeg on November 27, 1926 and grew up in the north end. She lived in Winnipeg, until moving to Gimli in 2004. She was a very hard worker, who was respected at her jobs which included Eaton's of Canada, IGA and the Federal Government Unemployment Office, from which she retired in 1980. Her favourite pastimes included watching curling, baseball, soccer; baking, playing bingo at the Transcona Legion and in her later years, enjoying games on the 5th floor with her special friends at the Waterfront Centre, Gimli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society, The Salvation Army or the Sandra Schmirler Foundation. Mom, Nana you were a wonderful and a very special lady. We will miss you so much. You will always be loved and forever be in our hearts. God bless you. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

I'd like to send my condolences to Carol & Bill and their families in the loss of their Mom, Peggy. Mrs Wallace played a big part in my life in my teenage years; hosting sleep-overs, chauffering us to school, band practises & sporting events; all the while providing all who visited 1060 Talbot with that endless supply of baking and chili. Always with that heart-warming smile. I will never forget her. - Posted by: Marilyn McNeil (Mitchell) (Family friend) on: May 02, 2012

Growing up friends with Carol Jane, we would hang out in the Wallaces' tiny home in the rec room. Mrs. Wallace was always smiling. She made the best butter tarts. I have her recipe and think of her every Christmas when I make them. - Posted by: Debbi Wallace (Kowaliuk) (friend ) on: Apr 30, 2012

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Wallace's passing. My heartfelt condolences to Carol and Bill and the rest of the Wallace clan. Although I had not seen her for too many years, I have so many fond memories of Mrs. Wallace. She was such a warm, generous soul, full of energy and a wonderful sense of humour and laugh. She loved her family dearly and they her. May the family's many good memories help them through this difficult time. All the best. Darlene - Posted by: Darlene Lambert (Family friend) on: Apr 29, 2012
