Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE (BARBARA) LOSTER February 26, 1943 April 12, 2012 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 After a courageous, but short battle with cancer, Barbara went from this life into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Throughout her battle, Barbara never complained, but rather adopted a positive outlook and attitude that truly inspired all whose lives she touched. Barbara chose to live her last days to the fullest and although we will miss her, we are happy for her knowing that she is truly pain free and having the hope of reuniting with her one day in Heaven. Never one to shirk responsibility, Barbara was a very loyal and hard worker. Out of all the jobs she had in her life, she found the greatest fulfillment in serving others. Whether it was Gateway Restaurant in Beausejour, Perkins in Winnipeg, or any of the many other restaurants she worked at, no one could hold a candle to her work ethic as a server. She took what many thought as a menial job and made it her calling. Her greatest calling however, was accepting Jesus into her heart. Barbara loved the Lord and knowing she was going to meet Him soon thrilled her very much. One of the things that saddened her the most was leaving behind her family to carry on without her. She especially wanted to see her grandchildren grow up. Although gone but not forgotten, Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, Percy, their children Linda, Bob (Chris), grandchildren Jennifer, Steven and Caitlyn, as well as brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 437 Park Avenue, Beausejour, MB. Pastor Cecil Dewey officiating. Knysh Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

I had the pleasure of having Barb on my team at Perkins for several years. She was an amazing lady. She genuinely cared about everyone one around her and inspired me to be a better manager and person. Barb was generous to a fault-I will never forget one Christmas she showed up at my office door with a huge bag of baking for my family dinner - my family had elected me to host the dinner with short notice. She brought life, energy and compassion onto our team and she will be missed by all. - Posted by: Sharon (Friend, co worker) on: Apr 27, 2012

I have to say that Aunt Barb was one of a kind. She has touched soo many and never turned anyone away. She always knew what to say to make you feel better. We will miss her dearly and know that she is looking down on us. Someday I know we will see her again. Our sympathy goes out to the Loster family, may you have comfort in the lord and know she is at peace.
