DR. DIVENDER SINGH BAIDWAN It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Divender Singh Baidwan at St. Boniface Hospital on April 25, 2012. He was born in Panipat on October 2, 1943 and was the second of eight siblings. Divender was an excellent student, studying hard and making his parents proud. • To me my brother was father like, an elder brother and very dear friend. He was jovial and loved a good laugh, with a huge clap at the climax of the laugh. He was an outdoor adventurer and liked the English gardens at the Assinboine park, Winnipeg Grand beach. He was caring, compassionate, dedicated to his family and work, always very well dressed & looking elegant, famous in whole of Winnipeg due to the respect he gained in the community. He will be missed every day and especially in the events that bring his memories to the heart. Some day we will be together.. - Posted by: Sarbjeet Singh Baidwan (Younger brother) on: May 05, 2012

  • I will miss our deep and intellectual conversations. It was always a pleasure to come by the clinic and sit and talk about our rich faith. I know you had a lot of stories to share about your recent trip to India. I will miss you a lot. My deepest condolences to your beautiful family. • There is no way to cope with the situation with out still feeling grief, but there is always a way to accept the sadness and understand that he is in a better place and will stay in your hearts forever. - Posted by: Anonymous () on: Apr 30, 2012

  • Divender would often stop by work and we'd discuss among other things a common friend. He was always thoughtful and kind. I wish to give his family my condolences. - Posted by: T. Winfield (friend) on: Apr 30, 2012

  • Dr. DIVENDER BAIDWAN, an excellent human being with big smile and ready to serve everyone in all circumstances. Last I saw Dr. Davinder was in the TD Canada building at Indian consulate office. I was speaking with the reception, when the girl from consulate called me up. I saw him after many years, so was trying to put name and identity together. As soon as my memory helped me and when returned to reception to say Hello/namaste/SSA to Davinder, He was not there. I MISSED speaking to him. That is life, we don't know when someone will leave us and will the person give us time to say Hello, how are you. He was much closer to God in physical form and now he is part of the all existance. • I am in shock that I am the last one who he spoke and I never thought that It was my last conversation with him. He told me that he is waiting for ambulance. He walked into ambulance and after a short while, I heard that had cardiac arrest and brain anoxic injury. All it happened in minutes. My sympathies to all his family and all communities. - Posted by: Dr.Naseer Ahmed Warraich (Advisor and friend) on: Apr 30, 2012

  • The great shock and pain of Dr. DS Baidwan's sad demise is unbearable. His jovial and friendly nature keeps on coming in front of me. His highly accomplished yet humble personality makes him pride of sikh community, and anyone who he touched during his professional and personal life. May Waheguru give enough strength to the family to bear the loss and accept His will. - Posted by: Arvind Pal Singh () on: Apr 29, 2012

  • I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to have known Dr. Baidwan over the past few years. He has always gone above and beyond to ensure that he makes every single person he comes into contact with feel so special. He was such a charming man who made sure to compliment everyone. His presence will be dearly missed and his spirit will live forever in everyone hearts in which he touched, therefore it will be many. Dr. Baidwan was an extremely hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone at anytime. Most of all he loved his family dearly & was such a proud husband and father. Although I haven't had the opportunity to meet most of his family, he did share many experiences and was always thrilled when he would have his family all together. I just wanted to share some of my thoughts with you all and know that I am so saddened to hear that he is gone and I will miss him dearly. - Posted by: Tammy Chaplin (Patient at Beverly Physio) on: Apr 28, 2012
