JAMES NELSON HILL September 21, 1945 - April 29, 2012 It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father Jim on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Jim was born September 21, 1945, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and lived his entire life here. He grew up in Elmwood and was employed at Winnipeg Hydro, retiring in 1997, after thirty plus years of service. When he retired his real work began at the cottage at Falcon Lake, he worked timelessly on the cottage and was very proud of his accomplishments. Jim was a jack of all trades and master of many, there was nothing he couldn't do. The cabin at Falcon was his home away from home; he loved it there and enjoyed many years of snowmobiling with his friends at the lake. Jim is survived by his wife Barb, daughter Kim (Cam) McNicholl and grandsons Darien and Eric of Kenora. His sisters Myrna Benoit, Donna (Doug) McPhail, Ruth (Elgin) Zelinski; mother-in-law Mary Williams, brother-in-law Don (Dianna) Williams, his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Marion and Nelson Hill, father-in-law Allan Williams and our beloved son Andy. A private graveside service was held, Jim will rest with our son Andy. Jim was a good man always willing to help anyone who asked. We will remember the good times! Have a beer for Jim; he loved his beer! Flowers are gratefully declined, if you wish a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for our grandson Eric would be greatly appreciated. Jim I love you and will try to keep my bank book balanced! We held you close within our hearts and there you will remain to walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.
