A most special friend, a man of honesty and humour, a man of conviction and courage, a man of truth and tenderness, a man of love and loyalty, a man -a husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin ...but most of all to those who treasured his wit and warmth, those of us who regarded Dave as a dear friend.. the next reunion will be the best ever! - Posted by: Liz (Hegler) O'Neill (long-time friend) on: May 05, 2012

David was my good friend Alison's brother growing up in Chapleau. He was a person who particularly appreciated friendships and there are numerous legendary stories of him going miles out of his way to 'drop in' on people. He will be missed by his many friends at the Chapleau High School reunion to which he was really looking forward. Sincere condolences to Alison and to David's wife Bev and children. - Posted by: Joy Heft (Friend from Chapleau) on: May 05, 2012

I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of David. I so much enjoyed my visit with him in Cranbrook two years ago, and our visit to the railway museum. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Michael J Morris (Friend) on: May 05, 2012
