AUGUST ANTOINE MARTENS Passed away at the Baldur Health Centre on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the age of 92 years, August Antoine Martens of Baldur, MB. August leaves to mourn his passing his three sons Henry (Edith) Martens, Leon (Angela) Martens, and Rene (Melody) Martens all of Baldur, two daughters Betty (Dennis) Turner of Killarney and Linda (Kevin) McGill of Killarney, 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by a brother Gerry (Antoinette) Martens of Brandon, sisters-in-law Tina Meuller, Simona DeBoes and Leona DeBoes and by a brother-in-law Leon (Mary Jane) DeBoes, all of Brantford, ON. August was predeceased by his wife Anna (nee DeBoes), parents Henri and Sylvia, sisters Maria Wytinck, Clara DeSmet and Madeleine DeVlieger, brother Maurice and an infant brother Rene and by an infant brother-in-law Leon. Prayers will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in the Willmor Chapel, Glenboro MB. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. James Catholic Church, Baldur, MB, with Father Phillip Malayil as Celebrant. Interment to follow in the Baldur Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in August's memory to a charity of choice.
