Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK JOSEPH STOCKL SR. June 9, 1942 - May 10, 2012 Frank Joseph Stockl Sr., retired architect, unexpectedly passed away on May 10, 2012. He will be very much missed and always remembered by his wife Elizabeth, son Frank (Jr.), daughter-in-law Kimberley and his four grandchildren Jordan, Christian, Dylan and Alexa. Kimberley's extended family and his many friends will always fondly remember him. Frank was born June 9, 1942, in Szeged Hungary. He graduated from the University of Budapest (architecture). I spent two summer holidays with the Stockl Family in 1984 and 1995. We had great times together with Frank, Elizabeth and Frank Jr. I will always remember his funny stories and jokes! I understood all of them! There are some wisecracks, that I still share weekly! Dear Frank, R.I.P. - Posted by: Gellert Baradnay M.D. (Relative from Hungary) on: May 16, 2012

- Posted by: Sz. Magdolna (younger sister-in-law) on: May 16, 2012

Our hearts go out to the entire Stockl family on their loss. Growing up I always loved to visit the Stockls; their household was always inviting and vibrant; Zsoka always welcoming, Frank always entertaining with his broad range of witty stories. I have always admired his strong sense of style (very evident in his bold design work) and his keen intellect. He will be missed. - Posted by: Gregory Arkos & Gail Conway (Friends of family) on: May 14, 2012

Part of the light dimmed in our lives with your passing. We knew and loved you for 45 long years. We had frequent get togethers, celebrations, coffee breaks, talks where mostly you did the talking and we were amazed at the memory bank of your mind, events, dates, history, knowledge. Just a week ago a happy Sunday brunch together. That is no more, good bye dear friend we will miss you... I remember when I could spend a wonderful summer holiday in Winnipeg with his family at the age of 14. It was 30 years ago. They were all very kind and helpful to me. Once I could't sleep and Frank came to my room and took me to buy cigarettes in the middle of the night. He bought me ice cream and had great conversation. He was a very funny and warm-hearted man. I will always miss him. God bless him and the whole family! - Posted by: Monika Baradnay (Relative from Hungary- (He was my cousin's father)) on: May 14, 2012

I remember Frank as my father's best friend for many many years and I have many fond memories as a child of going over to his house and playing in the yard and the basement. Frank was always such a happy, welcoming person and was always so good to me and my siblings. He always made such an effort to the point where I can still remember him driving me around for a slurpee when I asked for one when I must have been about 12 ... I can remember the last time that we spoke a few years ago and I can still see his smile when we were able to talk together as adults. My deepest condolences to the family as the world has lost one of its great souls ... RIP. - Posted by: Mike Fejes (Father's friend) on: May 13, 2012

I have such fond memories of my family being friends with the Stockl family. We would have fabulous Christmas Eve dinners where Elizabeth cooked outstanding food, and we all sat in this fantastic living room that Frank designed with gigantic plants that Elizabeth grew and the fire was on and the conversation was always lively. Then we would do the same thing on Christmas evening at my parents. More great food, great conversations and such great memories. I had not seen Frank in a few years but I am shattered at his passing. He was kind and always entertaining. Everyone who knew him will be devastated by his passing. - Posted by: Stella Morrison (neighbor from long ago) on: May 12, 2012

Feri as I called him, was my cousin from my father's side. 3 weeks ago was our last conversation, when we talked, as usual about our homeland, families, projects... Loved to listen to him, because he was wise, smart and very funny. I wish we would of spend more time together, but I will cherish the special days, phone calls in my memory and in my heart. Dear Cousin you are greatly missed. Love you. Condolence and peace to the whole family. - Posted by: Kati Fodor (1st cousin) on: May 12, 2012

Sending our prayers and thoughts to Elizabeth, Frank Jr and family. Frank Sr was a genuine man who loved his family. I loved how his favorite place to eat was Arby's. It must have been good mood food as it always put a big smile on his face when he talked about going there. - Posted by: Tammy and Rick Osask (Friend of family) on: May 12, 2012
