Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN RONALD MYR (AKISTER) Sadly, we announce the passing of John Ronald Myr (Akister) on Monday, May 7, 2012. He was predeceased by his father Ronald, mother Kathryn and brother Alan. He is survived by his brother David and numerous relatives in Canada, the US and the UK. John was born May 1, 1950 in Winnipeg, where he resided his entire life. He attended Montrose School, Grant Park High School and Fort Richmond Collegiate. He worked for a period of time at Canadian National Railways at the Transcona Repair Shop, Symington Yard and The Pas, MB. As a family they enjoyed camping, car and rail travel and shared many happy memories of the vacations. John was mechanically inclined and he served as the family car mechanic and advisor for repairs and purchases of cars. He also repaired and maintained tube radios and shared his knowledge of music. He valued the long time relationships he enjoyed with his friends Sharon, Jim and Henry. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
