Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) JOSEPH KING Change of Prayer Service Location Surrounded by family, Jack King passed away peacefully Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris. Jack was predeceased by his sisters Rita Tyler, Eunice Burdyny, Florence Boutet, and Jean Coulombe. Jack is survived by sisters Bernadette Clemett, Patricia Goodman (Allan), Noreen Monchamp (Marcel), Sister Mary Ellen King; brother Bill King (Lorraine); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack was born and raised in the Arnaud area where he attended the Langside School, and later St. Paul's College in Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba where he studied agriculture. He farmed all his active life on the family farm in Arnaud until his retirement to Morris. In winter he was often found at the curling rink or at home refinishing furniture. He was always very interested in all his family, and took part in all family activities. During his life Jack was noted for his Christian faith, and his generosity to both his church and charitable causes. We would like to sincerely thank the staff at Red River Valley Lodge for the excellent care Jack received. Prayers will be held at St. Maurice Catholic Church, 253 Main St., Morris on Friday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Maurice Catholic Church on Saturday May 19 at 11:00 a.m. with burial at a later date. Uncle Jack always made us each feel special. He shared in our celebrations and was there to lend a hand whenever needed. We will always think of him when we finish a meal with a box of After Eights.
