Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE TANASIECUK August 15, 1920 - May 18, 2012 Anne Tanasiecuk was born in the Municipality of Springfield to parents Victor and Maria (nee Babicka) Shymko, on August 15, 1920, and she joined her Lord and Saviour on May 18, 2012. She was predeceased by her cherished daughter Florence Riley, grandson Timothy and brothers, Joseph, Peter, and Walter; they were remembered fondly by Anne. In her lifetime, she bore 11 children, and adopted her grandson, Neil Riley. Her children, who remained close throughout her lifetime, are Lillian (Tony), Stella (Ray), Victoria (Brendan), Mary-Ann (George), Annette (Wayne), Sylvia (Adrian), Larry (Sandy), Donny (Debbie), Elizabeth (Richard), John (Jeannine), and Neil (Joanne). Her grandchildren are Ron, Jeff, Greg, Martina, Mel, Lisa, Colleen, Paul, Anna-Marie, April, Morgan, Geordie, Chelsea, Holly, Justin, Graham, Deon, Candace, Nicole, Ian, Dory, Sarah, David, Katie-Anne, and Robert. Her great-grandchildren are Isabella, Madeleine, Dylan, Jessica, Liam, Jasmine, Colin, Gabrielle, Reed, Benjamin, James, Hannah, Dylan, Tyler, Logan, Zachary, Landon, and Kevin. Anne lived most of her life running the family farm, as well as raising her family and was known to be strong and energetic, right up until she began to have health problems in her early 80s. Many people were impressed by her strength of character and courage. She lived independently, and even kept chickens for fresh eggs, watched over her flowers, gardening and her bird feeder, and lived in her own home with the love and support of her children right up until health issues caught up with her last December. As more care was needed, the family is grateful to acknowledge the added support given by Kin Place Home Care, and then by Dr. Schmidt and the staff at the Beausejour Hospital. Anne cared for many babies in her lifetime, was an avid knitter and an excellent cook. Anne was a member of the East St. Paul Congregation, attending meetings as long as she was able, and continuing to participate via the telephone sermons and through visits with her brethren as her health permitted. Anne loved large family gatherings and was most happy with her family and friends gathered around her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her, and her children hold a treasured place for her in their hearts as their beloved Momma , Mama , and Baba . A Funeral Service will take place Friday, May 25, 2012 at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium, 1800 Day Street at 1:00 p.m., a viewing will take place at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Deborah Tanasiecuk officiating. What a wonderful lady to raise her family under tough circumstances indeed. She was one of those rare people who when you came to her door she made you feel that she was really GLAD to see you! - Posted by: Victor, Amy & Joan Laird (old neighbours) on: May 30, 2012
