Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA MARIE WARCIMAGA It is with great sadness that we, the family of Linda Warcimaga, announce the passing of daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. After a courageous battle with cancer, Linda passed away at the age of 53 years old. Linda was born in Gimli on June 4, 1958 and lived most of her life in Winnipeg Beach. She leaves surviving her daughter Amanda (Eric) and granddaughter Amelia Ducharme, mother Olga Warcimaga; brothers, Clarence and Ken (Anita); sisters, Adeline (John) Lubianicki, Christine Solmundson, Sally Emms, Nancy (Jim) Gennick and Kathy (Steve) Bloomer. Special nieces and nephews Jennifer and Crystal Gennick, Arthur Emms, Amber Arnold, Christopher and Jamie Solmundson and Michelle Pollichuk as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, too many to mention. Linda was predeceased by her father Michael in 1983, brothers Philip in 1986, James in 1996, Bill in 2003, Raymond in 2005, sisters Ilene in 1995, Susie in 2006, nephew Trevor Plishka in 2002, brothers-in-law Bruce Emms in 2004, Zen Gara in 2006, and Jim Solmundson in 2007. Linda lived her life in Winnipeg Beach where she raised her daughter Amanda and was surrounded by family and friends. Linda had a very kind heart and was well known by the community. Linda enjoyed going for long walks, card playing with family, babysitting for family and friends, lending a helping hand to anyone, and reading stories to her granddaughter Amelia. Heart felt thanks goes out to the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. I could never have asked for a better team of people to take care of my mom. All of you will be in my heart forever. Prayers will be held on Monday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Winnipeg Beach with burial to follow in the South Foly Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Solmundson, Arthur Emms, Christopher Brown, Alan Stutsky, Richard Turkewich, and Randy Arnold. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
