BOONE (DANIEL EDWIN PARKES) It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Boone, loving son, brother and uncle. Boone is survived by his parents James and Cherryl Parkes; his brother Jamie (Carmen); grandmother Helen Calder; nieces Sammy and Jaimie; nephew Colton, and Boone's good friends Shannon, Ryan, Keith and Tina. Boone will be dearly missed by his family and friends who are too numerous to count. Boone was predeceased by grandparents Pop and Nana Parkes, Bill and Ruth Donald; uncles Bill and Ernie Donald and Les Bruce. Boone will be sadly missed by his hunting partner and best friend Beretta. Boone's joys in life were hunting, fishing and watching his nephew play football. If you couldn't find Boone re-loading shells at home you could always find him in the Tim Hortons parking lot having coffee and hanging out with friends. As per Boone's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www. gilbartfuneralhome.com

Boone was a wise man with great stories. My highlight of going to Tim Hortons was having hours of conversations with this man. Selkirk will not be the same.... Rest in paradise bud! - Posted by: Bella Barrie (old friend) on: May 28, 2012

You touched our hearts and will never be forgotten. We miss you every day. Thank you for the time we had, being a part of our wedding, Christmas shopping with me for Keith every year, taking Kelsy goose hunting, the exploding golf ball and everything else. - Posted by: Tina Breland (friend) on: May 27, 2012
