Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY ANTHONY DEVISSER It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Harry Anthony DeVisser, beloved husband of Olga (Kuzma), on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the age of 83 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Olga, two sons Ronald DeVisser, Harvey DeVisser (Cheryl), grandson Tyson (Kelly), and granddaughter Brianna and extended family; great-grandchildren Kylie Sly with parents Trish and Reid, plus Jacob Lidbetter with parents Randi and Ken. His brothers-in-law Ernie Chura (Jean), Joseph Haluska (Angela Mary), Larry James (Annette), sister-in-law Larisa Kuzma, and many, many nieces, nephews and friends. Harry was predeceased by his oldest son Kenneth DeVisser on December 13, 2005 and Kenneth's wife Cheryl on December 28, 2009. Harry also lost his beloved mother Laura in 1945 and his father Harry A. DeVisser in 1959, his twin brother John A. DeVisser (Elise - deceased) in 1993, brother Robert DeVisser (Carol - deceased) in 1996, brother-in-law William Kuzma (Larisa) in 2005, father and mother-in-law Andrew in 1975 and Pauline Kuzma in 1980. Harry was born on May 5, 1929 and lived his entire life in the Springfield district, receiving his education at North Springfield, Bird's Hill and Transcona Collegiate. His first job was with North American Buildings, he was later employed at the Canadian National Railway, and at the same time operating a fur farm, dairy and grain farm with his brothers, until becoming a full time grain farmer from which he retired. Harry loved to fish, watch sports, spend time at Dorothy Lake, travel the country side by car and go on trips to the mountains. But what he loved most was his family and going for breakfast with them. Harry loved to talk and he could start a conversation with anyone, entertaining them with stories old and new, making instant friends wherever he went. Harry and his beautiful voice will be forever remembered and never forgotten. Prayers will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium at 11:00 a.m. "A golden heart stopped beating, two hard-working hands to rest" Love your family. Sorry we were unable to attend Harry's funeral as we were out to town. We will miss seeing and visiting him at Joney's Restaurant. His knowledge of our great Municipality of Springfield and its residence will be greatly missed.
